Join Us Chapter 5

I hear Alyssa's head hit the ground and I turn to her immediately. Lexi was already at her side as I knelled down next to them. "Alyssa?" I shake her carefully but there was never any response. I motion for Lexi to grab her feet as I started to take her by the shoulders. I wasn't about to lose any more friends.

We had carried Alyssa pretty far down the street before we finally found somewhere we could stay. It was the only store on the street where the door could lock and the windows weren't busted in. We set Alyssa down on the counter and sighed. I carefully took off my mask and sighed happily to find that the air in here, even if it was dusty, was clean.

Lexi took off hers as well and looked at Alyssa. "Is... She going to be okay?" My answer once again wasn't going to make her any happier.
"I don't know..."

Lexi and I sat at one of the tables. We didn't say much to each other. There wasn't much to say anyway. For all we knew out friends were suffering out there and it was all because of these monsters.

It wasn't until one of the disgusting things found it's way into the room when Alyssa finally woke up.
